Terms of Service

1. The service

Silena("we", "us") provides a software experience for reflection, mood tracking, guided exercises, and optional voice features. The service may change as we improve the product; we will try not to break your access without notice where practical.

2. Not medical or crisis care

Silena is not a substitute for professional mental health care, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing in the product is clinical advice. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or, in the United States, call or text 988(Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract and meet any minimum age we require in your region (typically 18+). You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us at hello@silena.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to probe, disrupt, or overload our systems; scraping at scale without permission; harassing others; or using the product to generate or distribute illegal content. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

5. AI-generated content

Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your situation. You should not rely on AI responses as a sole basis for decisions affecting health, safety, or legal rights. Use judgment and seek qualified humans when it matters.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans, if offered, are processed by our payment provider (e.g. Stripe). Fees, renewal, taxes, and cancellation terms are shown at checkout and in your account or billing portal. To the extent permitted by law, fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as we expressly state in writing.

7. Intellectual property

We retain rights in the service, branding, and underlying software. You retain rights in content you submit; you grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content to operate the service for you.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except where prohibited by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100), except where liability cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires a different process.
