Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Silena("we") operates this website and app. For privacy questions: hello@silena.app.

2. What we collect

  • Account data: email address and authentication information processed by our auth provider (Supabase).
  • Profile and preferences: settings you save in the product (for example display name, goals, style preferences).
  • Usage and content: messages you send in chat, mood check-ins, exercise progress, and related metadata needed to run features (timestamps, session identifiers).
  • Voice features: if you use voice, audio may be sent to our speech and voice partners (for example ElevenLabs) to provide transcription, text-to-speech, or realtime conversation as described in-product.
  • Billing: if you subscribe, our payment processor (for example Stripe) receives payment details; we typically receive a customer id and subscription status, not full card numbers.
  • Diagnostics: error reports and performance data (for example via Sentry) and product analytics (for example via PostHog) when enabled, which may include device and coarse usage information.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, secure, and improve the service;
  • Authenticate you and prevent abuse;
  • Process payments and communicate about billing;
  • Send transactional or safety-related messages (for example password reset);
  • Measure reliability and understand aggregate product usage.

4. Legal bases (EEA / UK)

Where GDPR-style laws apply, we rely on appropriate bases such as contract (providing the service you asked for), legitimate interests (security, analytics, and improvement — balanced against your rights), and consent where required (for example non-essential cookies or marketing, if we offer them).

5. Sharing and subprocessors

We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf, including for example:

  • Supabase (hosted database and authentication);
  • Model and infrastructure providers used to power AI features (for example OpenRouter and model hosts);
  • Voice and media providers when you use those features (for example ElevenLabs);
  • Payment processing (for example Stripe);
  • Analytics and error reporting (for example PostHog, Sentry) when configured;
  • Email delivery (for example Resend) for transactional messages.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer (for example a merger) subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. Retention

We keep information as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, legal compliance, and dispute resolution. Some providers retain logs under their own policies. You may request deletion subject to legal exceptions.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us at hello@silena.app to make a request. We may need to verify your identity.

9. Children

The service is not directed to children under the age we permit to register. If you believe we collected a child's information in error, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. International transfers

We may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date.
